The POTRs been away too long. Quick catch up rants.
Yes, I know it’s been awhile. The POTR has been running astray in the desert southwest these last few weeks. I really hate the desert by the way. So I’m going to steal from Murphy, always a great read, and do a post of quick rants from the week:
Passport-gate: Yes, it bad that some government contracted peons can snoop into elected officials passport files. That form of security breach is bullshit no matter who is the victim. I hope Obama continues his “I’m pissed and want heads to roll.” rant even though it turns out his foreign affairs adviser owns the company that provides the government contracted support.
MI/FL votes: Screwed by both parties. No it wasn’t George Bush’s fault. No it was not congresses fault. The DNC & RNC national parties have punched the state level parties in the gut for not bending to the will of the party vs. that of the voters they represent. The RNC did it with more finesse, but the DNC national fat-cats have pissed on MI & FL with no remorse or regret. “Boss” Dean is coming off as an old school Tammany Hall scum bag.
Gas Prices: Is everyone ready to start drilling exploration in Alaska yet? I am. Let’s start pouring concrete on a few new nuke power plants while we’re at it.
U.N.: Still a joke. I love how Kofi, now out of office, has turned his useless banter back on the U.N. itself. Seems he’s upset the member states just vote on things they never back up with actual support/resources. The poor people still believe someone actually cares what the U.N. thinks or does anymore.
McCain: Don’t get too comfy with the RNC nomination. You haven’t won the election, and it seems to me your taking it a bit too easy. You still need to tell the Republicans why we should stop sobbing and tell us why we should vote for you. Ready for a few VP candidates yet? That will be another post soon.
Obama: Yes, I think 20 years in a church with a Pastor that hates America does reflect on your personal views on things. I doubt you slept through 20 years worth of services before at least one old lady smacked you in the back of the head to stop snoring. You can’t play both sides of this fence. You still have zero experience/business to be running for president by the way. I don’t care how good a speaker you are. The POTR has more foreign policy experience than you do.
Clinton: You will lose the nomination, or drag it into a bloody party fracturing convention. While I do find it amusing to say the least, it will only hurt the DNC. Such a stupid position to entrench yourself in. Arrogance maybe? Your Bosnia fub shows your are a standard issue political liar as well. I really don’t think the average American wants 32 years of Bush/Clinton tickets anyway. Hell maybe Jeb Bush will run after 8 year of Billery and we can do a full 40. I like round numbers. Easier to count that way.
Economic Stimulus Package: I receive my IRS letter yesterday saying I’d get one. Good to be me. Unfortunately I’ll send it straight to my credit card vs. buying a big assed plasma TV like I really want to. Stupid me huh?
