From KansasCity.com (just a short hop down the highway from my house):
The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People will propose a resolution this week condemning racism within the tea party movement.
The resolution, scheduled for a vote as early as Tuesday by delegates attending the annual NAACP convention in Kansas City, calls upon “all people of good will to repudiate the racism of the Tea Parties, and to stand in opposition to its drive to push our country back to the pre-civil rights era.”
Now I’m too exhausted to debate this circular topic again UNLESS someone can give me actual arguments on how this “movement” is racist. I’ve asked several left leaning colleges this and end up with basically “Well it is and everyone knows it!”. No it not just because “you” think that it is does not make it so. That is narcissism to the ridiculous extreme. You’re opinion doesn’t get to count for the entire universe’s perception of how things are and forever shall be. How you “feel” is not actually how it “is”. Before I get trolled on being an “stupid righty”, I would like to put out that I’m looking for serious points that spell out how a this particular random group was labeled racist from about 1.2 minutes after they were first shown on the news. There’s plenty of real racists groups in the world and I see no reason to make up fake ones. Any other random conspiracy labels you want to toss at an opposing political viewpoint that only vaguely rounded into something that may, or may not, even be considered a political party?
