The Hippie Professor was Jim Dougan, a Professor of Psychology at a small midwestern university. He taught History of Psychology, Statistics, Research Methods, Animal Behavior, and Learning Theory. He had a strong interest in philosophy, particularly philosophy of mind. He was a proud and unrepentant Behaviorist.
He passed away of a heart attack in October and in my trials and tribulations of life just found out today. He was a good man, and I will miss our debates. God speed Jim and I’ll see you on the high ground.
